PDL Collection companies are actually disguising their numbers as local numbers! I have a direct line at work and caller ID. I have noticed a local number calling me several times a day, but when I pick up, they never say anything and today I finally sat there long enough and heard an Indian guy saying "This is JOhn from Finanical..." at this point it was so staticky I couldn't understand him and I hung up, but I knew I recognized the voice. It was the same guy from my other post about harrasing phone calls except he said his name was John instead of Max. The voicemail he finally left (after calling about 5 times in a row) was word for word what his other voice mail was except the call back number was 310-598-1724. This is REALLY stressing me out!

The PDLs and their collection people are completely unreal, aren't they? Maybe you should've asked him if he'd changed his name recently? ;) I thiink they all must read from a script, too; if you interrupt them they get all flustered!
