How I Do Get My Money Back?
Date: Wed, 05/07/2008 - 13:17
I tried to dispute this with my bank and they said they don't dispute ACH transactions by PDL companies because I probably signed a contract giving them authorization. But even when I explained I am now revoking their authorization they tell me it's too late. Is that so and is there any way I can fight this to get my money back?

When did you start this PDL? Did they take an ACTUAL payment, or ( what some of them call..) a 'processing fee? If it was a 'processing fee', some PDL's say the 'fee' is "non-refundable." I'm sorry that your bank can't help you. But..I'mSURE someone with a bit more knowledge on issues like this, will be on this thread shortly.

I started this PDL several months ago (Nov 2007). I know I have overpaid by re-newing over and over. AZ laws allow you to do pay fees 3 times then renew again. This company is not a CFSA member and I was hoping to pay them off thru a payment plan.
I just need my money back in account ASAP for my mortgage payment. Any suggestions?

WOW!! ok..I see where you're coming from. Well......I'm not QUITE sure how to get the money back. Obviously......you HAVE overpaid SEVERAL times. I'm sure one of the 'expert' people, on this forum can answer this. I'm sorry i can't help you furthur...I just wanted to let you know that your issue hasn't fallen on deaf ears. Hang in there....someone will be here. This forum is GREAT at helping and giving advice.

ok, i'm not an expert or anything but maybe i can help a tiny bit. is your bank secure? It has to be secured first or they will go for more money, again and again.. close it if you can or have to but make sure ACH's won't open it. I am sorry that your bank is giving you a hard time, mine did too. See, you are allowed to legally revoke authorization. you really are. If you do that with the bank, beware as the company will change names and find ways to get your money. Closing out completly or a hard block is best.
this forum is great and someone will come along with better advice than I. But I do understand - have you tried reaching further with your bank? my bank made me lose a couple of hundred dollars - it was so bad. But i kept calling the bank - managers, customer service - anyone who listened. Also many people here swear by calling the ACH processor - there's a sticky on the forum - maybe give that a try?
sdchargers_63's right about that.. I have heard of some PDL find
sdchargers_63's right about that.. I have heard of some PDL finding your new account (sorry stuff right there!) but you should be ok to open a new account to pay your bills, etc. I feel real bad because I cannot offer great advice as I am going through this myself - i, too, wanted to let you know you're not alone and help is on its way :)
