I live in New York State and just found out awhile back that payday loans are illegal in New York but it doesn't seem matter to the company
I also have a payday loan with Paycheck Today and I pay $60.00 on a $200.00 loan. Legally I only owe $20.00.
Can anybody give me any advice on what I should do next? Thanks.

Getting refund from an illegal payday lender can be difficult. But, you may keep your fingers crossed.
Meanwhile, I'd suggest you to write to them stating that they should consider the loan as 'paid in full' and you are withholding all their rights of debiting your account further. You can check out the following link about dealing with illegal payday lenders.

I also reported a complaint with the BBB and the FTC but all I get from them is that my complaint has been referred to the company and I have to wait by a certain date for DJR to respond. They will never listen to you, they will deny they are illegal and say things to try and scare you but don't let them, there isn't a thing they can do to you, they broke the law, not you.

Did you just have the one automatic debit (or check) revoked? If it were me, I'd close the bank account altogether. These companies operate under several different names and if the account is still open it's possible they'll try to get your money under another name. (check the "sticky" on this site re. closing bank accounts)
