here is a little more info
He has four loans out. None are late yet but they will be. I am closing the account because given a crisis we are going through medically we just can't pay them. They are all internet.
National payday- current. They did debit 100.00 before I could close the account.
Star advance- 217.80
My Payday Loan- 500.00
PayDay loan yes- 390.00
We live in ND.
I don't want these loans to keep building up with late fees then default. I feel we should at least pay back what he borrowed but with all the things going on there is no way I can pay the balances in full. I am listed on National payday as a second person that they can speak to if need be so I can call them to see if they will make any payment arrangements. National actually asked right on their app. if he wanted to authorize someone else to speak with them on his behalf. Am happy for that, now I hope they work with me. Any advice on how I go about working with these other three companies since the loans are in his name. With the medical crisis we DO NOT need more debt piling up. And no he cannot call and authorize me to speak to them and he is unable to call himself. Thank you all.

Can you husband sign something, if you could write something up and have him sign it giving you permission to speak on his behalf you could fax it to these companies, make sure they have it in hand before they speak to you. I would stress to them that bottom line is you need to work out a payment plan that fits your budget and that you want a final paid in full amount that you don't want to continue paying fees, you want what you pay to come off the balance.

In my humble opinion, and I am no expert, but I would also try calling or emailing each lender, especially the one you are someone they can discuss the loan with. See what they say. If they bother to ask for an additional person maybe they will bother to talk to you as well.
I've gotten some good payment arrangements in my jumbled debt past by telling them upfront what's happening. Works with some, not with all.
I don't know. It's worth a shot maybe?
Good luck, and I hope your husband is alright. My thoughts go out to you.
