Okay I missed a payment with this company as I did not have money and they said now broken arrangement and they are going to contact my payroll to garnish wages. Is this legal. I live in California and I thought if wages garnished you have to go to court over it. Also I thought that only child support and back taxes were allowed for garnishment not creditors or pay day loans
Does anyone know if this company is legal in california. Would appreciate any advice


I contacted my california department of corporations and they did not see camosun financial/easycashonlinestores listed under licensing to lend in california. So can this company garnish my wages. I have paid back over 200.00 of this loan. They threatened me via email with legal action. is this legal? Any one who knows I would appreciate a answer. Thanks

if you haven't filed AG complaints yet do so.nothing legit was ever done via email.btw you are correct in that to garnish they must sue and win.hard for an illegal to do that.however they might try to submit a wage assignment.that is voluntary and revocable.in fact just to be sage draft a wage assignment revocation letter and give it your employer.there are templates in the DIY tab at the top of this site.

Well they replied via email that they are having my file moved as of July 20th. (we will see). That to me probably means a collection agency which will then harrass me. So since they are illegal to loan in California then I guess they dont have much to stand on. I will just wait and see. I am sure that within a week I will hear from a collection agency
