Hi guys/girls,
Ok well its been roughly about 2 months since I stumbled upon this forum for help. I started with roughly 15 PDL's and now have I think 5. My situation is not the norm I guess as these PDL's are an ugly secret that I have been hiding from my husband, family etc... So I have not closed my checking account. I have tackled these PDL's one at a time and have actually received 2 refunds. I wish I could follow the advice 100% on this site when it comes to these lenders as they are all illegal and prohibited in NJ. But I have to continue battling one at a time. My question is this...I am about to tackle Loan Point USA I borrowed 400.00 in November 2009 and have paid 108.00 every two weeks since. So I havent doen the math but assume I have paid close to 1700. I am going to the bank on tuesday and going to put a ach block on loan point. Now I know that they can come in as different dbs's so I am going to try to compose a list for the bank and go from there. I want to see if the bank will credit me atleast the last 3 debits if I dispute the transactions. Now when I return those transactions should I send Loan Point something immediately or wait until they contact me??? I know I am not going about this the right way and this makes it harder for me, but I need to think outside of the box for this one. Even though I have knocked my list down to 5 I am still paying 1400 a month. Now that is better than the 3000 I was paying, but I am still in this hell and it is consuming my life. Loan Point is the only one I have left that doesnt pay down. I cannot believe all the money they have gotten from me. Please tell me when I should notify them and what I can expect from them. Also I know they r Geneva Roth any other DBA's? Again I know what the normal steps I should be taken but cant close my account. I have to stop them!!! Any help?? A few people have spoken about Loan Point USA over the last few months but never reported their progress so I am desperately seeking advice!! Thx

Oh wait, I thought you meant an email to let them know you were blocking them. I was under the impression you already sent letters to all of them. Oh, yes yes, I would definitely send them a letter to inform them you are aware of their illegal activities.

It depends on the bank, it never hurts to ask, all they can do is say no.

OMG I know.... When you put the amount on paper in front of you it is horrible...Now I see why I am behind on all my bills. Its no wonder! I am a little stressed about going to the bank, really not sure what to say. I need to revoke ach from this lender and dont know how they will handle things for me. I will print out the laws and the EFT laws before I go, hoping that they dont give me a hard time or look down on me. So far all the PDL's have followed my request for ACH revokation but from what Im reading Loan Point USA isnt like that.

Complain about the way you were treated to the corporate office. I understand how you feel, been there done that. I issued a complaint and received an apology and returned fees. I googled the CEO of the bank I had at the time.

OK well without the ach block that I put on only hours ago....I received an email from Loan Point USA stating that my account has been marked PIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They responded to my email that i sent to them after I went to the bank. I am amazed!!!!!!!! I just checked my account online and it shows my loan was PIF. Now I just sent them a followup letter stating that I received the PIF however I was wondering if they forgot that I had requested $1652.00 in overpayment!!!!!! Can not imagine I will get a refund but I never thought I would get a PIF!!! The bank would only go back 30 days to revoke the fees so even if I dont get the refund hopefully I will get $324.00. I wish I had found this website 6 months ago! So much heartache in my life has transpired because of these PDL's!!! 4 more to go!!!! Thanks

Thanks I hope that I am lucky enough to get that refund too. I was shocked at how quickly they gave me a PIF letter as I read soooo many horror stories and for months have been afraid to approach them. But once I realized that I over paid almost 1700.00 it had to stop today and that is basically what I wrote in my letter. I will definately continue to help others...no doubt about it!!!! This forum has been a godsend to me. Just wish I had found it sooner!

You really should PUSH them for a refund, I would contact the Attorney General of Delaware and tell them that Loanpointusa has an address in their state and is issuing loans to residents in states where payday loans are prohibited. I would push push push, and keep pushing until you got results. I would also push the Attorney General's Office in DE to take action.

Do you mind sharing the email that you sent to LoanPoint? I have also overpaid them and I am so nervous about sending them a letter because I have heard the horror stories.
