I thought i signed in with my email address and password. When i enter this info, says that password is incorrect. I recently started a thread concerning my PDL's. I dont want to mess things up, but I can't find the original thread.
I just need a little support as i have sent 2 letters to PDL's stating to only conctact me via email and asking refund from one of them. I still have 11 letters to send. I just need reassurance that I have done the right thing as I am very concerned to be doing this on my own. If someone could explain how to keep my thread going, it would be appreciated as it seems that I can't log in.

Although I can't help much with the navigation on this website as I'm new, there are a lot of goood people here that can help. Give them time to respond.

As for your payday loans, send them all of the necessary documentation via email and certified mail, file complaints with the AG, FTC and BBB on all of your illegal lenders. The AG complaint seems to be the only thing they will listen too! I did that with Great Sky and have had excellent results. I'm currently getting ready to file on Payday Max, Extracash live and Brighen Financial.

Hang in there! Your doing the right thing, and you will find really good advise here. This site gave me the courage and help I needed to get away from the payday mess. Buzzette

Thank you for encouragement. Am Maryland resident. Submitted a complaint for payday lender to AG office. They in turn sent to the MD Commission on Financial Regulation as the AG office does not handle. Rec'd a call from the Commission and they are going to handle my complaint. I advised them that I have a total of 13 PDL's. They took names and advised me that if I receive calls from any of them to advise PDL's that they are being investigated. I need to send copies of contracts, etc. They will keep me informed of outcome. Maybe now I can breath a little better knowing that somehow this will eventually end my payday nightmare.

You can do it! I had 8 internet loans and 2 storefront loans. Through the great advice of this forum, I am now down to 3 internet and 2 storefront. By the middle of January, I should be completely done with all my payments and will be totally free of the payday loan nightmare. My only advice is "stay tough." Don't let collectors intimidate you in anyway. You can do it!

Sounds great. I just have to find time to send all my docs along with amounts borrowed and amounts paid which amounts to quite a bit of money. Hopefully, this will be completed this week. I feel much better since I found this website. Everyone seems to be in good spirits knowing that their payday troubles are on their way out the door. Keep up the good work.

Hello, have been reading posts concerning VIP. I had been paying $120.00 a month since 8/15/09. I closed my bank account in May, 2010. On May 31, 2010 I paid VIP
$150.00 with a reloadble green dot card. According to my records I have paid $1,230.00 in fees minus the original $300.00, I am due a refund of $930.00. I am going to send email to David Cobbett and request refund and PIF. Hope this works.

Yes, I have filed with AG and the Maryland Commission on Financial Regulation. Just sent letters to PDLs today. Hopefully, they will respond. If not, I will keep sending letters.

OMG! I just sent out letters yesterday to Upfrontpayday requesting refund of $2,750.00 and Instant Loans NOW requesting refund of $2,255. I received an email from Upfrontpayday today stating "Thank you for choosing Instant Loans Now for your financial needs. There is a zero balance owed on your loan, the refund for $2,255.00 has been issued for tomorrow. Thank you, have a nice day! I believe that these two PDL's are sister sites. Question? Can this really be happening. Can I expect the refund. :D

WOO! HOO! I sent letter to VIP last Friday, November 12, 2010 requesting a refund. After a few emails, I received in mail today a refund check. Was not the amount asked for but, at least, the PIF letter states that I have zero balance and my information will be frozen and archived. It feels wonderful to regain some of the money that has been illegally taken. Hope that everyone has a chance to feel how happy I am. Still have a ways to go. Wish everyone the very best of luck!!!

I have out a few requests to settle my overpaid accounts. I have got word from 2 of them so far, Magnum and Zip19.com. They both stated that my accounts are closed PIF and they will not issue a refund. I would love to get refunds from all my pdl's, but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed. Way I figure is these two are not located in the USA and it'll be a futile effort to keep persisting they issue refunds. They say I'm applicable to the laws from their country.

I will say that dealing with pdl's on my own vs. letting a debt company is proving to be much more productive. The debt company, Destination Debt Solutions, was handling my accounts. They would have had me paying back more than 7600 to all the companies I took loans with. I dropped them on Tuesday of this week and sent letters out to my lenders. Just the two I mentioned above has saved me at least 1000 that I would have paid back using Destination Debt Solutions approach. Makes you wonder if they're working for the pdl companies...

We all need to keep sending messages to these companies that what they offer, no matter how convenient, is not helping anyone who has financial difficulty. It makes matters worse by putting good people deeper into debt. Hope one day every state in the country outlaws these types of "services".

hello all,
I have received refunds from Instant Loans Now and Upfront payday. I was wondering if anyone has a mailing address for Portfolio Recovery who is collecting for Manhattan Processing. I am working with the MD Dept of Financial Regulation and they need an address to send letter stating that what they are doing is illegal. They have been told not to contact me and they are still doing so.
