Payday loans in Massachusetts

I am finally fed up with having so many payday loans. I have taken the advise on this sight and just emailed them all to remove my authorization for them to deduct funds from my checking account or garnish my wages. Tomorrow I am going to my bank to close my account and open another one (hopefully at the same account, I really love my bank). My question is, can they really call my employer? I will go to my Human Resources on Monday and let her know that there are fraudulent claims being made and to ignore the calls if I have to but I'd prefer that they not know what is going on. I hold a position of authority and feel like a moron for falling for this scheme. I've been on the treadmill for more than a year now and I'm at my wit's end.
I have another question now that I think of it, I had loans with a few companies that I paid back but I still paid more than the principle amount. Can I go after those companies for a refund of the overpayment?
Any advise or tips would be greatly appreciated!
~Melissa

So since they are illegal and I've had a few that I repaid and paid them more than I borrowed, would you recommend that I contact them and try to get the overpayment back? I've done everything I can about my current loans for tonight by sending the lenders all an email letting them know that they no longer have my authorization to withdraw money from my checking account and am going to the back first thing tomorrow morning. I have to wait until Monday to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office and let my HR know what is going on.

I have looked back in my bank statements and I had a loan through Mack Development Group, LLC that I overpaid by $300.00. I have no contact info for this lender. Can anyone help me? I am trying to search from them on Google but there are about 20 different companies with that name. Grrrr...I just got a call from an Orchard Loans now stating that they approved my application (that I never put in, btw) and they guy on the phone was very insistent that they got my information because I filled out an application and he will email me the terms of the loan. I'm SO glad that I closed my bank accounts and opened new ones so they can't deposit or withdraw money from my accounts!!
Haven't heard back from any of my other lenders yet except for Bottom Dollar PayDay who states that I still have an outstanding balance of $78.00. I explained to the man on the phone that since payday loans are illegal in Massachusetts and I have already overpaid by $1200 that they actually owe me money. Do you know what he did? He hung up on me! Guess I'll be resending them my email about my refund again tomorrow!

or at least pay my own bills with it! Turns out that VIP Loan Shop tried to cash a check against my account for $390 but since I had already closed the account it was returned by my bank and since they know the situation, I don't owe any fees. I've gotten phone calls from Bottom Dollar PayDay who has told me that they are sending me to collections (to which I said good luck because you can't collect on an illegal debt especially since at this point you owe me money!) and 500Fast Cash who told me that they will just keep calling me until I get sick of hearing from them and pay them the balance of $175. I told them that I've overpaid my loan by $285 and that I will be waiting for my refund. Haven't heard from any of my other lenders yet except for a return email from Western Sky telling me that if I pay them back the $1500 loan (I only received $1000 and they charged a $500 funding fee) that I can do so without penalty. I don't think so! I am emailing them back with a copy of the Massachusetts laws about loans and restating my offer to pay them back in 5 monthly installments of $200 on my credit card (pre-paid and only going to be loaded with the agreed upon amount) and updating my complaint with the Mass Attorney General's Office.
Feeling very frustrated and stupid for getting myself into this mess!
