Your bank account is closed so that can't take anymore of your money right? Some places are not going to send you a PIF or refunds. I have not received either from any of mine and its been over 3 months since I closed my account. Sometimes the best you can hope for is for them to just leave you alone!
Actually you may not hear anything from them until after you defualt. I don't think I heard from any of mine until about a week or so after I defaulted.

Technically, I can't default because i have payed back about triple on most of my loans. Since they are not licensed in Mississippi, I'm only required to pay the principal so they should just leave me alone and give me my refund. Resqume1, did you have any loans with the companies listed above?

In my experience Emerald is the least likely to give you a refund or even respond. They may just possibly dissappear never to be heard from again. I would apply more and more pressure to all of your pdl's, send them emails quoting usary laws and such, make sure you let them know everytime you hear from the FTC, or BBB or even your attorney general. Also make them aware if you get lucky and speak to someone like your DFI. Just keep them informed that you are pursuing these complaints all the way to the top, no matter how long it takes you! That usually lights a fire under their butts, as long as they continue to hear from you, updates on complaints, or other options you may stumble onto, etc.

By federal law, you have to abide by Mississippi laws when it comes to payday lending because that's the state I reside in. Furthermore, you have to be licensed in Mississippi to do payday lending. Please provide me with a copy of your license to lend in Mississippi. As far as the past loan goes, that was when I didn't know any better...I should have NEVER paid more than the principal back since your company is not licensed to do loans in Mississippi. As I stated earlier I demand a "Paid in Full" letter and a refund for my overages. Thanks and have a great day!

> Thank you for your timely response. As clearly stated in the loan documents you signed, the laws in the state of Delaware bind your loan. We are licensed in the state of Delaware and are governed by the State Banking Commissioner. You didn't have any issues with paying off your first loan and you adhered to the terms and conditions of the loan. In an effort to resolve this matter amicably we are willing to except a final payoff amount of $350 to recoup the total $500 principle amount of your second loan. If you need to setup arrangements we are willing to work with you. We'd like to prevent this matter from escalating and resolve this matter with you. Thanks,

> Dear Mr. Anthony W.: You say that you don't solicit funds to residents of Mississippi but I have a loan with your company. By law, since you are not licensed to do payday loans in Mississippi, I'm only entitled to pay back the principal. I have done above and beyond that between the two loans. As a matter of fact your company actually owes me a refund. I am not taking this settlement & I have already filed with the Mississippi Attorney General's Office, BBB, & the FTC. I want a "Paid in Full" letter and/or email and a refund of my overages paid. Have a great day.

if you go to the paydayloaninfo site, you'll see that only 4 rollovers allowed. if they are trying to say that you need to abide by delaware rules, than why did they keep charging you the finance fees over and over again? so, you definitely should stick to your guns and not pay them anymore.
