Payday internet loan

I have a payday internet loan for 390 dollars and now they are telling me i owe them 1800 dollars. I told them i wasnt going to pay that much. What are the laws in sc for internet loans? The company is emerald marketing(emg). Please let me know how to move forward on this.

The PDL laws for internet PDLs in South Carolina state that these companies have to be licensed in your state. And Emerald Marketing is not licensed in your state. So, you are not legally bound to pay them anything more that the principal amount borrowed.
Tell them that you know your states' laws and that you'll only pay the amount borrowed. Tell them to send you a PIF without which you'll complain against them with your states' AG and the FTC.
