payday loan I live in NC

I have a payday loan with American WebLoan I live in NC. I have been unable to pay them, they have called my employer threating to serve with papers to take me to court and sue me. I don't have the money to pay these people now. I borrow $300 now they say that I owe then $1400.


They can't sue you since this is an illegal payday loan. Moreover, payday loans are prohibited in NC. So, these are plain empty threats. Legally, you owe nothing. Morally, you should at least pay back $300.

was anything debited prior to default?if so deduct that from the 300.00.example:

you borrowed 300.00.they debited 90.00 three times.you only owe 30.00.

btw awl is tribal,and that is why they won't sue as their "immunity"only extends to their trbal ground.i would file AG,AND FTC complaints asap,and try to look back at how much was debited.you might have overpaid meaning you owe this illegal pice of tribal pdl garbage squat.don't assume you owe until you can find out how much they debited first.

Hey, Im a fellow NCer too who was also in this mess. You only have to pay back the principle, then tell them to go to hell!!!! Also, file a complaint with the NC attorney general's office. They have been great with me!! If ya need any help, ask!
