Hello,

I had a cash call loan about 4 years ago. It ended up being turned over to a collection agency and I settled. The collection company is out of business and I am trying to get this removed from my credit report. Any tips of laws that anyone can give me to help get this off of my credit report would be great!

Yeah???it will remain on your credit report for 7 years from the date of your first default. You may make a written request to the credit bureaus to update your account status as ???Paid-as-settled???.

7 1/2 years is the correct amount of time.
