I received a call from a woman named Ms. Smith who claimed she was from a government agency that examines debt claims for arbitration. She went on to say that this was for a loan from the Greenway Group and that with interest, 1000 arbitration fee from the state and the initial loan that the new balance was $5200+. The problem is 1.I don't remember ever getting a loan from these people 2. This was from before I filed Backruptcy in 2010 and all my debt was included in the bankruptcy. THey told me they knew about the bankruptcy but that they had a clause in the contract that said you could not file bankruptcy for 8 to 10 years from signing the loan. I called the Texas Attorney General consumer hotline and was told that the number they called from was not a government agency, there is not an angency that researches arbitration cases for debt collection and that Texas does not charge a fee for arbitration except for the cost of the arbitrator themselves. Has anyone had a similiar phone call or dealt with the Greenway Group?

nope.it sounds like a new bottomfeeder that just started their illegal crap.i would use any numbers plus the name greenway group to file AG,AND FTC complaints.then ignore them.meaning if a number looks unfamiliar let it go to vmail then delete the message.just know they are a bottofeeder that should be reported and ignored.
