In desperation, took PDL's. :(

Hi all, I'm new to the community and have been reading a ton. A little bit about my current situation. I am separated and in the process of a divorce. I was not prepared to handle a lot of this on my own. After I exhausted most of my cash resources, I resorted to PDL's in a moment of weakness, as I'm sure is the case with most of us here!! I live in upstate new york and from everything that I have read, these loans are illegal here and I will look to follow the steps outlined to get resolution of these loans. I'm hoping if I post the companies I got myself involved with, maybe some of you might have specific insight to help me end this nightmare as soon as possible...here goes...

Plain Green loans-borrowed $1000-made payments of $629.65
Great Plains-borrowed $1000-made payments of $711.40
Western Sky/Cash Call-borrowed $2525-payment of $323.71
Ameriloan-borrowed $400-made payments of $360
HydraFund-borrowed $300-made payments of $270
Cash Advance Now-borrowed $400-made payments of $310.00

If I have read correctly, I need to send emails to each of these companies and revoke ACH. Can I insist that payments already made count as principal? To be honest, I don't think any of these payments are principal, I think only interest and fees. :(

What state do you live in???

They are all illegal. Follow the link in my signature line for how to deal with illegal lenders. Every step. You owe principal only...no interest, no fees.

Because these PDLs are all illegal, any payments that you have made count as principal. They can't charge you interest on an illegal loan!

I sent emails to all of them yesterday except western sky/cash call. I have not gotten actual replies other than auto replies. Should I expect that they will all reply or will I have to do this repeatedly?

You will get replies. They are just trying to figure out another way to get you to pay. If it makes you feel better, keep sending your letter every few days. Eventually, they will get the hint that you mean business. Good luck!
