I need to talk to someone ASAP because I'm scared that they'll resubmit the payment and try to tack on NSF fee's. Money's extremely tight right now and I have no money left over after I pay my bills. If they submit a payment for more than $140, it may cause one of my other bills (like my rent, light bill, or car insurance) to overdraft, or possibly even be returned. I'm desperately trying to get my finances in order and I can't afford for any of my bills not to be paid. I'm stressing out right now and I really don't know what else I can do. I'm scared I'm going to wake up Monday morning and not have enough money for my other bills. Does anyone have any advice?

Yes, it's an online loan and I live in SC. After research, I'm aware that the loan is illegal but I think it would be easier for me just to pay it. I started off with 3 loans. The other two are both legal, and the first will be paid off on Monday. Although it won't be easy, with discipline, I can get the last two paid off. I really don't want to open a new bank account, or have to worry about them calling my job or my references. I've never missed a payment so I was surprised to see that email today. The money is still in my bank. I just don't want them to pull out more than expected and mess up my other finances. I also think it's a little strange that I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone all day.

Since you are aware they aren't a licensed lender and you want to pay them off I really have no advice to offer. Just keep one thing in mind, once an illegal lender has your account information it will never be safe again. Although you may think you have them paid off, it could be a year down the road and they decide you owe them more and suddenly debit your account out of the blue. That is how these illegal lenders operate, they have no regard for the law or they would have followed it to begin with.

Well, I appreciate your insight into the situation. I am aware that illegal lenders have been known to make withdrawals out of the blue. From my understanding, the company is licensed in Utah but their loan terms are illegal in SC. I was allowed 4 rollovers and the fee is $30 per 100. SC law doesn't allow rollovers and the max fee is $15 per 100. I've had loans with illegal lenders in the past, and haven't heard from them since the loan is paid off. Hopefully, this company will be the same. I wish I could fight them but right now, I can't afford it. I just can't take take the risk of them harassing my references and job, or closing my bank account and having it forced back open with multiple nsf's. I work full time during the day, and then come home and slave away at an online jobs for 6 hours that only nets 3-4 dollars an hour, in hopes that I'll be able to pay off both remaining loans by the end of the month. I guess there's really no advice anyone can give me about the situation. I'm just stressed out a little bit right now, especially since I've been trying so hard to get all my bills paid.
