Can i face criminal charges for defaulting on a payday loan in texas?

It was from online company it was in 08 or 09 they said and honestly i do not even remember it. They said it was either 350.00 or 500.00 they would not release that info they just kept saying they needed to comfirm my address and i needed to give it to them because they had an officer waiting to have me served with the paperwork for my charges. It was crazy they acted like i committed murder or something totally rediculous.

Tell them to f*(# off.

Some stranger calls you and says, "hey, you owe a debt from 4 years ago but I can't tell you the details of the debt or why you owe it but, if you don't give me $500, I'm going to have you arrested." Is this about right?

Don't let fear cloud your intelligence. This is a scam.

Ignore them.
