I have cleared up 5 of my PDL's, but haven't email DJR Group yet because I have to wait 24 hours for my bank account to officially close.

Everything I am reading on this site, which by the way has been a fantastic resource for me and my family so thank you, tells me that this company does NOT settle with anyone and that the are very aggresssive in their efforts to collec their money, or what they feel is rightfully theirs.

Now the other 5 PDL's that I had worked with me and for the most part allowed me to pay back the principle amount an close them out. I have a feeling that DJR Group is not going to be this easy.

I also am understanding that River Elk Services is just a customer call center for them and have no decision making capabilities.

My question is has ANYONE had any success negotiating with this company?

I live in Oklahoma and i know they are illegal in my state. The original amount of the loan was $450.00 I have paid them $120 twice in finance renewal fees and had them take out $285 this last payday for a total of $555.00

So they have received their principle amount and then some. I asked them what their next recourse would be and they said they send me to an outside collection agency.

I have yet to send them a letter as stated above, so my question is what letter should I send them and how long does it normally take for a collection agency to get in contact with me once they send it out?

I guess I am just trying to get all my ducks in a row prior to them calling me.

Thanks to all of you who have helped us out so far

I'm deleting the previous 2 posts because the responses had nothing to do with your request, which the ladies who responded obviously didn't bother to read :) Instead, they copied and pasted their generic response without any thought as to actually helping.

I haven't dealt with DJR. Hopefully someone will be along soon who can offer their experience.

RBH,

I have been dealing with DJR Group since early September. She told me back in September that the company zeroed out my account and that she would be submitting my documentation to the lender for a refund. Well, I have written her a few times since then and heard back from her twice saying that I knew the terms of the loan, yada yada yada, and that there would be no refund. I'm not letting up on them as I overpaid them by almost $700 dollars... I have written to the AG's office again here in NY and let "Amanda" at DJR/River Elk know that I am actively pursuing a refund, pretty much by all means necessary. If you have overpaid them and sent your letters as directed by this site, then they will more than likely zero out your account; as far as a refund of overpaid monies, Ill let you know if I actually get one....

Good Luck...
