Harrassing calls from 443-524-7783

I think the call came from some illegal collection agency. I searched the number, but nothing came up.

File complaints against the number with your local police along with the FTC and your states' Attorney General. And if possible, talk to the phone service provider and check if you can block the number.

This number belongs to a collection agency. They are trying to collect on an unpaid payday loan. These people are rude, degrading and speak broken english. Ignore them.

I am sure they are calling from somewhere in Asia or Europe. They don't have any etiquettes and always try to scare people. Just ignore them.

They cannot and won't take you to court. And regarding your account, it's better to close it and open a new one since they have your account number. They might try to hit your account anytime.

Sad to say, if you've ever had a PDL, they DO share information with other PDL companies and bottomfeeder collectors. The people who are calling you are more than likely located overseas and as paulcahill80 says, they won't take you to court. I also agree with paulcahill that you should close out your checking account and open a new one, just to be safe.

[COLOR=#3A3734]This company called me claiming that I have an outstanding pay day loan with them and when I asked to verify what this was the man claims to be an officer. As I began to question him and explain that I've never heard of his company, he began to cuss me out and say that I would be taken to court and possibly arrested. Each person that calls has a middle eastern accent. Each time I answer and tell them to mail me proof of the debt, I am cussed out and threatend with law suits and jail time. I've checked all of my records and have zero business with them. I called the number back and asked for a manager and the person answering claimed to be the manager. When I told them to stop calling me or I would contact the local and federal law enforcement agencies, he began cussing me out again. You can hear a dog barking and a child or children crying in the background on several of the calls as well as in the voicemails they have left[/COLOR][COLOR=#3A3734]

Even if they have a US phone #, they're probably calling from one of those phone 'banks' in New Dehli or someplace, not even in the US. If they call, just hang up on them, it's not worth the aggravation, trying to argue (much less reason) with them.
