I just got this from USFastCash.. I'm taking it!!

How are you going to pay it? I would be very wary of giving debit/credit card info to them and as for the MoneyGram, they're not cheap.

They offered me a $85 settlement despite the fact that I had overpaid by a lot on previous loans and filed a complaint against them with the BBB. I told them I was paying by money order mailed to their Kansas address, and they agreed.

This could be a cheaper, safer option for you. They might say they can't take a money order, but when it comes down to it, if they want their money, they will.

I figured I would wait and get some responses from members here, then I would email them. I am NOT going to give my debit card info to them and I do NOT want to do a moneygram. I am going to email them with a Money Order number and tell them I am mailing it to them.

Think that's ok??

I think that money order is the safest way to handle this. If they want to settle the account then they will accept a money order. Just tell them that you no longer have a checking account and that you are leary of moneygram, so money order is the only way that you are willing to pay. It's just the same as cash, but if they are after your checking account number, etc., they will insist on debit. That's when the deal would be off for me.

Lu-Nice job scoring this settlement offer! My opinion...priority mail (w/tracking) or certified mail and of course as you know  , send a money order.

It says you have to confirm by 10/5...you have to have the $$ in by then or what is the due date for the $$. If it is indeed 10/5, just do the Moneygram or it wont be there by USPS by 10/5.

As others have said here, Moneygram isnt cheap but if you save $ in the long run, its a small investment.

I knew they would tell you that, they used the same line with me. They offered their settlement to me by way of their response to the BBB complaint I filed against them. I stated in my acceptance of the settlement that I was sending a money order and that was that. They agreed to it.

See, this is why you can't belive anything these slimey companies tell you.

Hang on, lucy! First of all, getting a fair settlement from USFastCash is way beyond awesome! Good for you! They are real jerks to me STILL. However, let me please just point something out to you. You can pay them with a pre-paid Visa card. You can go to the store, get one of those pre-paid Visa cards, only put the EXACT amount of the settlement on it, and give USFastCash that card as their payment. It's a Visa card. They will accept it. You won't have to pay the fee for a moneygram. They can not trace anything back to you from that card, as it's a disposable card. I don't know how much they cost, but it's more than likely less than the cost of moneygram. That's just an option I wanted to throw out at you!

I'm glad the "tip" helped! This way, if you get one of those cards, don't put more money on it than the exact amount owed & give them that card number like it was your own credit card. They can't get squat more off of it than what's put on it. And they can't get squat information about you from it. But your idiot pdl will get their payment! So it's a win-win situation! Good luck to you, lucy! I'm happy to hear you'll be rid of them! :D
