help in Indiana

I have been reading through the posts and have finally gotten the courage to begin the steps to get out of this payday loan mess. So I have gone to the bank and attempting to close my account. She opened up a new account for us but I am having problems closing the old one since our car loan was attached to this one...I did put stops on the three PDL's: Sure Advance, Cash Direct Express and Paradise (Intl Equity) but not sure if that will be enough...I have already received a call from a collection agency, Alliance Asset and told them I had paid the loan in full and actually overpaid for Cash Direct. Also told them I had sent a letter to the company explaining this and then Alliance gave me their fax number so I sent them the letter too. Do I also need to send the certified letter to them or is this sufficient?
Finally I called FTC and Consumer Protection in Indiana and filed complaints because on top of all of this I was receiving voicemails from someone stating they were a sheriff and that if I didn't settle this debt they would send someone out to arrest me. The lady at Consumer Protection laughed and said this is a scam and to tell them I know it is a scam and have filed complaints...the only problem is I don't know how to make them stop calling me since I don't have an address for them or a name of an agency. I'm almost at the point of calling my cell provider and seeing if I can change numbers...
I am now afraid can any of these companies garnish my wages or take me to court for this? And what should be my next step? I am not very good at dealing with these companies because they make you feel so bad and are not nice people...thanks

You may send the certified letter to them too. It won't do you any harm. Debts are civil. You can't be arrested. This is a false threat. The illegal payday loan lenders can't garnish your wages or take you to court. You have taken the right steps. Check out the url to know how to deal with illegal payday loan lenders:
