According to the COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
OFFICE OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND BUSINESS REGULATION there are no payday loan companies licensed to conduct business in the state of MA because MA has a law the caps the interest rates on small loans that these companies are allowed to charge. The normal interest rate a payday loan company charges is well over 6 times as much as the cap allows.
