We all welcome you to this forum. You are definately among friends here & we are all members of the PDL Hell Club. The advice here is the best you can get & nobody will steer you in the wrong direction.
If any of your internet PDL's are not licensed in our state- that means they are doing business illegally. Close you bank acct IMMEDIATELY. Do not inform them beforehand that you are going to do this- as they will hit your acct until it is totally empty. After you close your acct- open another - either at the same bank or another one. DO NOT give out your new bank info to any of these idiots. You can either mail or email the illegals a C&D (cease & desist) letter-- some will abide by it's terms, some won't. Remember- THEY are the ones operating illegally - NO YOU. If they call you ( & they likely will), ignore the scare tactics & hang up on them. There is a ton of good info on this site - it is there for you.
We welcome you & remember, you WILL get thru this- we are all living proof that it can be done.

I have closed my bank account. I have several payday loans out and all are illegal. northway Financial corporation is one of them. They have a cease and refrain order. I sent an email to them 2 days ago and no response. I am sure they will be in touch soon though. I have not sent my emails or letters to other illegal companies but plan to do so very soon. I talked to the California Department of corporations and am going to file complaint soon. do I need to send letters to these illegal companies and do I even need to talk to these people if I already paid the orginal loan over several TIMES!!!
Also thank you for setting up this site!! Has any lawyers ever sued these illegal companies?
