I just had a number call me at work (It wsa 302-791-9666) I didn't answer the phone. They then called our customer service office (I can only imagine that this was because there number was one digit from mine and they took a lucky guess) Anyway this guy said he was from "First National Legal Serivces" (I think, it was something National Legal Services) He said was calling on behalf of Payday Loan Yes. He said "Hopefully I can help you set up payment arrangements " He was nice enough and I told him I couldn't talk at work, could I call him back? He gave me his number (1-800-654-7444 ext/ 842) He said I needed to call him by 5 pm est because my file was scheduled to go to litigation on 6-3-09, which was today (imagine that). I googled that number and looked it up on here and it's connected to PDL's. I also called the number and it says "Welcome to Payday Loan Yes" So I have come to the conclusion that it was one of their collectors just lying. I think his name was Steve but I'm not quite sure.

How should I handle this? Call him back and say "Give me an address and you'll get a payment (I'm not quite sure they're due one actually) or just re-send my C & D Letter? Or just completely ignore it? Thanks in advance for the advice!

are they legal or illegal for you? That will determine how to proceed. By the way they are acting I would guess illegal, which if that is the case you need to figure out how much you have already paid them vs. the principal loan amount to figure out how much you may owe them. Resend the c&d telling them what you are wiling to pay (if anything) and stay off the phone with illegal pdl.
