If I freeze my ACH transactions, will my direct deposits go through? Will they contact my employer? Should I try to negotiate with them beefore stopping payments?

Are the companies internet or store front? If they are internet then check whether it is licensed in CA. If the company is not legal in your state then you only need to payoff the principal loan amount only. If they still debit your a/c then close your account.

Deposits will go through as long as you only place a hard debit block on your account, this will only block withdrawals, not deposits. :)
