I need help. I have been reading at this site for most of the last evening and now into the wee hours. I am in KY and have 5 store front pdl's and one internet pdl. I spoke with a counselor on the phone last evening, but now am shaking in my boots--so to speak. I was unable to close my account before today, but have withdrawn all the available funds except enough to cover the insufficient funds fee. I am going to the store front pdls tomorrow or sat and I'm really worried they will not agree to work with me. What am I supposed to do? Just walk out of the store or what? HELP :?

I have had store front pdl's in the past. Some of them are willing to work with you, but then some of then can be nasty. I suggest being honest with them and just do what you can. I know how hard this is. It does get better though. At least you have closed your account and are gaining control back of your money. Hang in there. Let me know how it goes with the store front loans.

scribe, I'm in Kentucky also. Who are your storefront lenders? They may be members of the CFSA. If they are, you will be able to invoke the EPP (extended payment plan). However, in order to invoke the EPP, you need to go in BEFORE the loan due date, even if just by a day. The EPP allows you to pay off your loan in 4 equal payments coinciding with your paydates. Also, internet lending is considered illegal in Kentucky, so your internet loan is illegal. Your account is not closed; however, you withdrew all your money? So now when anything hits, it's going to be returned for NSF, correct? See if you can get it closed ASAP so you don't keep getting hit with NSF fees. I'm going to post the state pdl law for Kentucky for you so that you can see that criminal prosecution is PROHIBITED here. Please list out your pdls (storefronts and internet). On the internet, please put who it is, how much you borrowed (principle only), and how much you have paid back. On your storefronts, I'll need the names & we can see if they are members of the CFSA. They will work with you. If they're not, they may still work with you regarding a payment plan. Please post this information and we can help you further! In the meantime, I'm posting Kentucky law for you.

Thank you so much.

Cash Express $500
Cash Tyme $500
Check Advance $500
Check Our Cash $500
Check N Go $500

Internet is Bank of Delaware $1475. I had this loan and paid it off and had to get another one. Today would be the first payment for it. But like I said I took all the funds out except enough to cover NSF fees and my monthy SC.

I was reviewing some of my paperwork(e-mails) regarding the interntet pdl and discovered Bank of Delaware is actually Check N Go On-Line. Does that make a difference? Also, how do I go about revoking my ACH authorization on the internet PDL. It will go to the bank today causing NSF but I want to stop it before it goes through again in 2 weeks. :?

before you send any pdl a letter revoking their authorization to debit your account, your account must be closed. If not, they will go in and try to take everything, and you will just run up many more nsf charges. Thye will not abide by a letter telling them they can not debit your account,

I believe this check n go is store front...they have several in KY

Chek Express and Check n go are members of CFSA. YOu canr ead more about them here:

http://www.cfsa.net/about_cfsa.html

The others are not listed but you may want to check and see if they are under a parent company. They may be listed under that name. You paper work should say it on there somewhere...

scribe,

Cash Express
Cash Tyme
Check n Go

These are all members of the CFSA. If you have not defaulted on the loans yet, you can go into the store BEFORE the due date of the loans. Tell them you want to invoke the EPP (extended payment plan). What they will do is have you sign an amendment to your loan documents and they will divide the payments into 4 equal payments coinciding with your paydates. You have to go in BEFORE the due date though in order to do this.

I didn't see

Check Advance
Check Our Cash

on the CFSA list; however, they may go by a "corporate name". It would not hurt one bit to call and ask them if they are members of the CFSA. Some storefronts are just now becoming members. You might get lucky and they'll say "yes". Doesn't hurt to call and find out.

This way, you wouldn't be defaulting on the loans, all collection activity stops, and no additional fees are incurred.

Now, your on-line Bank of Delaware, like goudah stated, you will need to make arrangements with, as they will be licensed/legal.

If you have any questions at all, please post.
