Today i want to gain control of my finances. I have numerous payday loans. i closed my account and opened a new one. they are all calling me and i'm not answering because i dont even know what to say. the stress is giving me nights of insomnia, i've lost weight, my joy is gone.
Do i go to a debt consolidation company for payday loans?
i found this site while googling payday loan consolidation companies.
i just dont even know where to start or what to do :(

First, you can do this yourself and don't need to spend money on a consolidation company...

Also, I would deal with your legal lenders directly in arranging an Extended Payment Plan with each. You can E-Mail and/or call them, whichever makes you more comfortable.. Each one has different policies, but I found that payment plans range from 6 payments to a maximum of 90 days.. Typically, payment plans freeze interest, so it would be a good idea to get started on these.

Next, I would draft up an ACH revocation letter for each of your 'illegal' lenders... There's a template available on this forum which you can tailor to your individual circumstances regarding each lender. You'll find your online access to their web portals to be cut off relatively quickly, and you should get a response via e-mail within 3-7 days.

Since you don't know how much you've paid to each lender, I would spend some time and get a spreadsheet together and outline how much you loaned from each and how much you paid to each, this will better assist you in your negotiations...

Good Luck!

You're welcome!

Now, get that spreadsheet together, and using your bank statement, figure out how much you've paid to each. DO NOT give them or anyone your new banking info, go to the grocery store and get a re-loadable prepaid debit card and use that as your method of payment.

Remember. You're the one with the money, so you're in charge. You tell them how much you can pay and when. Be sure to at least pay the principle of the loan. You'll be out of this rut soon...
