So if I tell all my PDL's to stick it, then how long before they can get a wage garnishment, does this happen quickly or are there procedures they must go through in Iowa? I ask this because we have about 15k coming in Feb between tax return and student loans and plan to pay all loans in full then anyhow.

You need to recheck your original loan agreement. It happened to me! I guess I was so desparate when I got my online PDL that I didn't read the fine print. I got behind in all my bills and then I get a wage assignment from my payroll supervisor at work and "POOF" they took it all out of my next paycheck. Well, at least it's taken care of.

I know that we can revoke any wage garnishment by sending them and giving our HR department a copy revoking any garnishments. locally as most of ours are storefronts, I was more concerned as to how long before they could do such....I guess neither option is going to cure the telechek issue though

I think wage assignments and garnishments are different. Garnishment requires a court order but assignment does not. Hopefully someone else will no for sure. Just let your Payroll Department know, they are to ignore any and all wage assignements presented to them. Your payroll department will know the difference between the two.
