I am the receptionist at my work and I someone just called to verify employment, I referred them to our corporate office (protocal) but recognized the number, so I looked it up and it was Geneva Roth/Loan Point, I'm guessing they are looking for me, since they didn't get their money because I closed my checking account. What do you think they are up to? :?:

it could be one of two things.

1)they could be trying to get your bank info this way or
2)they could attempt at a wage assignment.

if you sent them and your HR a revocation letter for any
wage assignments i wouldn't worry, but make sure they are aware of this company.

With a wage assignment, they wouldn't need to access your bank info since they would be getting it straight from your employer. Since you've revoked it, that is a dead end for them. However, I have seen recent posts here where PDL lenders have managed to track down new bank account info and pull form the consumers account. Did you open the new acct at a different bank?
