Western Sky/Cashcall

OK, our loan was originated through Western Sky and of course became serviced by Cash Call. We did this loan online in our home state, in VA. They deposited $1000 into our account but all of our loan documents all say we borrowed $1500. I can get the bank documentation of what the deposit was, though. I paid some payments, then lost my job and couldn't make payments. Yesterday we began being contacted by an outside agency named Capital Solutions and they began degrading me almost immediately. I was informed that they are sending through 2 cases on us for fraud and default on our loan. I offered to pay $1000 but they had no desire to talk. I am in the process of checking with my bank to get old records of what I paid in the past to them. We closed the old checking account to stop ACH payments. What do we do?????????

it's illegal since western sky originated it. this collections agency calling you is a scam - do not pay them anything. yuou cannot be arrested for fraud for not paying a loan.

You do nothing. Play hard ball if they try to run you down. Hang up if they call again. As for the money discrepancy, if you go through your loan contract you might find that for a loan of $1500, the finance charges are $500. That would explain everything I believe.
