Cash Direct Express

I closed my checking account and yesterday was the first day my pdl's were returned.  They were all notified by email I closed my account.  I used the templates on this site to make sure my bases were covered.  I have had a few acknowledgements of my email.  However, Cash Direct Express has already stated they consider the account as satisfied and do not expect further payment.  Has anyone ever had any success in getting a refund from Cash Direct Express?  I have paid appx. $2800 more than I borrowed. 


I haven't worked with them. Actually, I steer clear of payday loans. They just ruin your life. So, I can't say for sure that you'll get refund from them. However, one thing I can tell you from general experience. It won't be easy to get refund from them..

While they are rather cooperative on forsaking collection and satisfy as full, it is hard to get refund from them. I tried repeatedly and they want me to cease and desist, or they would send a arbitrator. It's doesn't worth me the time and so I just let go.

Well, on another day, I might have said that you have very little chance of ever seeing a refund but in recent news, I read that the FTC went after CDE and milked them for $735 million in consumer compensation. In light of this recent event, I would just say that you should go ahead and demand your refund and threaten them (actually, file the complaint) with FTC complaints.

As stated previously some banks will, you have to remember you just revoked ACH authorization - prior to that you were agreeing to let them take money out of your account.

I read somewhere the bank could reverse 60 days of debits.  Is that true?
