Hi,

I have been reading this website and am amazed at the knowledge. I need some help with Unified PS Group. Here is my story:

I took out a PDL in November of 2012 from Bayside Cash for $500. My wife and I were facing foreclosure and were desperately trying to save our home. However, we were forced into Chpt 13 in December of 2012. 3 payments of $150 were deducted from my checking account for the PDL and then, at the demand of the BR trustee, my checking account was closed. No address was available for Bayside and they did not answer the BR petition.
Fast forward 13 months, United PS Group starts calling on Nov 25, 2013, demanding payment of $2,500 for a PDL that I took out with Bayside Cash. They state the contract date is January 31, 2013 and that since I took out the loan after my filing, my bankruptcy could be dismissed. Come to find out, the autorenewal terms of the PDL give a new contract date each time it is turned over (every 2 weeks in this instance). I have paid them $450 of the $500 borrowed, but UPS is being very beligerent in the matter, calling everyday, getting my wife upset, and on and on. My wife and I are at each other's throats because of this. Any advice on this?

So, I filed with CFPB and the AG. Find out the neither Bayside Cash nor Unified PS Group are licensed in the state of TN. I sent them a C and D letter and received notice today that they refused the letter. Can they do this? What recourse do I have if they refuse my certified letter? I know the clock is ticking. Also, on the dunning letter they sent, there is no verbiage about how to dispute the debt if I want to. Isn't that illegal, also?

Just finished my complaint with CFPB. I'm having trouble with finding the AG to send the complaint to.

report this piece of bottomfeeding shit to your AG,AND THE FTC.the fact that they lied about the date of the loan, and that bayside never responded in reference to your CH13.the call and threats broke the law.there is zero chance they will contact the BK trustee as again they are lying out of their ass,and bayside is an illegal lender anyway.report and ignore as again a piece of bottomfeeding shit.

what did the envelope say?if it just said refused,or return to sender.then you can sue them anyway.now if the envelope said return to sender no such address then you can just ignore as nobody who doesn't want their real address will do anything but break the law hand over fist with threats they cannot/willnot carry out.last thing you are half right as a dunning letter should contain the mini miranda that is the part where they say "this is an attempt to collect a debt any information will be used for that purpose you have 30 days to dispute the debt,or any portion of"there is more, but you get the idea.so to close as long as the address is good you keep track of any calls and get a lawyer and sue them.keep that evnvelope as it will be proof for your lawsuit as again they won't do spit, but as long as that address is good you can sue them.complie your proof of the calls and do it.just don't worry about them.they aren't going to do a thing except call and threaten illegaly.

So, do I need to do anything with regards to Unified PS Group? They stated that mailed a letter to my home address that I never received, but when I called them, they were happy to email me a letter, dated Dec 3, 2013 stating the original creditor and the current creditor is Creekwood Holdings, LLC and the outstanding balance of $2,500. They want me to send payment and correspondence to a payment center, not to the P.O. Box on the letterhead.

you need to report them, and nothing else as since this was an illegal loan, and btw creekwood is a bottomfeeder as well.you do not owe near 2500.00 so paying a lying, lawbreaking piece of shit is pointless.you only owe 50.00 and since this piece of garbage won't listen you report and ignore UPS group.everyone connected to both creekwood and UPS GROUP is destined to rot one sweet day,but they don't need to make their blood money off of you.again report and ignore.

Just got notice from the Department of Financial Institutions in Tennessee. They are contacting Bayside directly about operating in our state without a license and about ignoring our state laws concerning Pay Day lenders. They have 15 days to answer.
