Global Check and Credit/Esquire Solutions

Any suggestions? I know Global Check must have bought an old payday loan that he had (over the internet) a long time ago (about 3 years ago). We live in Texas.

That is what I was thinking too. I was thinking that he was just trying to get me to call the number so they could "scare" me into making the payments. We paid the principal of the loan, but they are saying that we owe all of the other fees associated with it...and I refuse to pay that

I believe Texas has a 3 year time statute of limitations on these type issues. I just experienced the type phone call (2 days in a row). The person from Esquire would not give me his name or any other information. When I contacted Global, Peter hung up on me when i asked for information on Esquire and would not give him my name. About to notify the Attorney General of the State of Texas and the Federal Trade Commission.

The Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code provides a 4-year limitations period for types of debt. The SoL begins after the day the cause of action accrue.
