Advice needed !! Plain Green Loans
Date: Mon, 05/21/2012 - 15:25
So I have been going back and forth with Plain Green loans regarding an overpayment. I want them to apply an overpayment from a previous loan to the current outstanding loan I have now with them.
They owe me $685! The current principal balance is $782 so applying that overpayment significantly reduces the balance. My gut is telling me to stick to my guns but I want to hear other opinions to see if I have a fighting chance. If I hadn't overpaid them already I would make arrangements to pay the principal with no problem.

As outlined in our previous email, the installment loans that Plain Green provides, into which you entered into are binding.
Our offer to settle this account for the remaining principal balance is still open.
Your current principal balance is $782.22. We would be happy to set up a payment plan that accommodates your needs.
Sincerely,

You just need to stand your ground. Although using overpayment from a closed account to pay off the principal of a current loan is a rare scenario, I have seen people on this forum meeting with success in doing so. You just need to keep on pressing them. Anyway, you don't have anything to lose. They can't sue you.
