I receive a call from a woman saying she was from thinkcash and I had an unpaid debt from 2008 and if I didn't pay it they were going to file a suit to garnish my wages. I told her the total amount that was lend to me was $700 and money was taken out of my account for a little over two years. She ask If I had a paid in full letter, I told her no. she said with interest the total amount due now is,895.00. What should due, should I pay it ?

Do you know whether or not the pdl company is licensed in your state? If not, then you will have to pay only the principal amount. No need to pay any interest or fees. Close your bank account immediately. Don???t make any payments without verification. Ask them to verify your debt in writing via certified mail with a return receipt request.

the misinformation being posted by the two above me is amazing.a few points.

1)dependes on your state, but this could be past SOL.

2)thinkcash was FBD until the latter part of 2009 so technically it is a legal loan.

3)however you never just pay a voice over the phone.they would have to sue in your town, county, village,or bourough, and according to the rules for service thereof.

4)what number do you have,or that came up on caller id?

demand something in writing before even thinking about paying anyone.btw to sue would take months, and it sounds like this person hinted at this happening immediately.it won't.demand details again, and never just pay a voice over the phone.
