Ok.. I admit it... I got sucked into the cycle. Here is my delima... To date I have had 2 PDL's with Ameriloan and am currently on my 3rd. The total of all 3 comes to 1500. (450, 550 and 500)So I am getting farther behind on what really matters as the bills go because of this. To date I have paid Ameriloan a total of $3455.00 that is an "overpayment of $2455.00. What can I do to make them stop debiting my account? I have read somethings about a hard freeze on ACH's and closing the account. Just want to make sure I dot my I's and cross my T's.
Also.. my wife has a PDL with Brighton ($200) and United Cash Loans ($300) To date she has paid Brighton $712 (Please don't laugh...) and United $735. I know that she is in a work environment that will frown on collection calls so i need advice for hers as well... ANY help is Greatly needed and appreciated.:(

As payday lending is legal in Florida, you need to contact the Florida Office of Financial Regulation in order to check out whether or not the payday lenders from whom both of you have borrowed money are licensed to operate in your state. If you find that they are not licensed to operate in your state, then you and your wife should stop paying them and even ask them to refund the excess amount that you've paid them. Apart from that, if you want to stop unauthorized withdrawal, then you should put a hard debit on your bank account or close your bank account.

ANNA ...YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD REPEATEDLY TO STOP USING THE TERM "HARD DEBIT BLOCK"....THERE IS NO SUCH TERM
