I have not contacted them yet regarding closing my account because I thought they were legal. I tried to contact them on Friday but was on hold forever. So now what? They also show their customer support to be:

Should I call them anyway? I only had 4 months left to pay on it. I wonder if I can just send $$ to the PO box above.

I only have 2 more payments on my thinkcash loan and I got the same e-mail today. "On February 28, 2011, your ThinkCash loan from First Bank of Delaware was sold to GPL Servicing Trust." I've no idea why. Anyone have any idea what GPL Servicing Trust is?

GPL Servicing Trust is simply another loan service provider, just like First Bank of Delaware is. Often lenders will sell current loans to other lenders in order to free up their cash so they can continue to lend out more money and continue to originate loans. It is common practice. There is nothing to be worried about... I got the same email yesterday, and it specifies that nothing else changes, you can still log onto the site and view your loan information, and your payments will still be deducted from your account in the same way it always has been if you are on the electronic payment plan, if you are on the sending payments plan, send the payments to:

I spoke to someone at Think Cash on Friday and they told me that they are no longer funding loans. They are in the process of getting a new bank to fund, but as of now they are not funding. I wonder if GPL is the new funder? I was hoping maybe they were going out of business.

But who is GPL Servicing? Are they just going to hold our accounts until they are paid off? I called ThinkCash a month ago, they stated they would not be cutting anymore loans, check in a month. A month later, same answer, check back in a month. Granted I am grateful that I am near the end of my loan repayment. However, beginning again with another company will be a pain, and have to start at the bottom if emergency funds are needed.

I have a ThinkCash account that I'm halfway through paying off. I just closed my bank account today because of all the unlicensed lenders I have and want to set up payment arrangements with them. Would I contact ThinkCash or GPL Servicing if I want to find out where I can mail payments? I don't want to give them my new account information to have them debit the rest of the payments I owe, but I do want to contact them before they try to debit my old account next Friday.

Just keep making your payments. My loan has been fine since I first started business with them several months back. They sold to First Bank of Delaware and now GPL Servicing. You will be suprised how many finance company sell your loans! It happens all the time.

So if I have a loan currently with Think Cash and I want to pay it off early and apply for a new loan do I have to apply with this GPL Company or will all my past information be forwarded over to them from ThinkCash/Bank of Delware
