I'm a Georgia resident and i took out an online payday loan with Great plains lending. They gave me 800.00, and I've made 8 payments of 141.28. By the time i make my last payment the sum of all of them will be a little over 2500.00. I told someone about this and they told me that payday loans were illegal in Ga, had i known this and all of the extra money I would have to pay back I wouldn't have done it..is this info true? Will I have to pay the loan back in full?

In the following states internet payday lenders are not legal, either because of restrictive laws, or because the state does not license companies not located in that state, but requires a state issued license to lend.
Connecticut
Georgia
Iowa
Maryland
Massachucetts
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina
Vermont
Virginia
West Virginia

Yes Great Plains Lending is ILLEGAL in Ga, follow the links posted above to learn how to deal with this illegal Internet Payday Lender.

Be sure to COMPLETELY close your bank account associated with this account. THEN e-mail Great Plains Lending an ACH Revocation, in the e-mail also demand that you are refunded $330.24, because they are ILLEGAL, you morally ONLY OWE THEM the principal amount you borrowed, in your case $800... and you've paid them $1,130.24, which resulted in an OVER-PAYMENT of $330.24.
