Hello all,

I am in Kentucky and have the following pdl's.

Total Lending loan $250, $75 fee, paid $300
Ambassador loan $300, $90 fee, paid $645
Greenlight Funding loan $150, $45 fee, paid $135

I have stopped direct deposit of my paycheck but haven't done anything else. What else should I do?

You need to send them a letter revoking any wage assignments that may be in the small print of the contract that you signed, and that you only would like to correspond with them either through the USPS or email so that you have written proof. It looks as though you have paid everything back in principal.

Have you read the thread titled "closing your account due to the pdl's? That has very good information and could be useful to you. I would suggest reading it.

Internet PDL's are illegal in Kentucky according to the Kentucky Office of Finance. You can contact them yourself to verify if you wish. You paid off the first one. You over paid the second one. I would consider the third one a wash. You need to fully lock up your bank account so no charges can be processed. The post that Ladybug suggested will help with that issue. I would file complaints with any agency you can think of about the second company and try to pressure them into giving you a refund since they over collected by about $300.

Ambassador loan is also known as Payday Yes and very illegal. They need to be reported to your Attorney General's office, and the Federal Trade commision. You can file complaints online, the link to file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission is in my signature, to file with your Attorney General, just google your state with the words attorney general beside it, and there should be an area on the website to file complaints. These complaints are very important and could very well assist you in getting the refund you are due!
