Would this be the same as a hard debit stop?

I have an internet bank account, so of course I can't just go in there and talk to them, but on the website I found this:
ACH Stop Payment Order
Please stop payment of the ACH withdrawals specified below. I understand that ACH Stop Payments remain valid only for six months and that there will be a $30.00 charge per Stop Payment Order deducted from my checking account.
Would this be the thing to do when I send the stop letter to my PDL?

Yes and no. They may put it through in a different amount or name. You will need to call your customer service number and talk with them about your options.

no,that is a stop payment.if you can't put a hard block on your account.you will have to close it and open a new one.you can with the same bank.if you send the letter with only a stop payment.the pdl's will change amounts, change co names, even put a paper check through.then your account is still bled dry and you pay the bank fees for a stop payment that didn't work.get a hard debit block,or close that account and open a new one.
