OK, I currently have 5 Pay Day loans open (listed below). I started back in about August-Sept 2008. I was planning my wedding and got one loan to help out, couldn't afford to pay it back so got another pay day loan to pay that one and it just snow balled from there. My loan companies are listed below. ANY info and help anyone can provide I would APPRECIATE! I live in California. I was just laid off from my job and so obviously I need to avoid having these payments happen. Keeping a roof over my head and food on the table is more important. I have a Bank of America account. I just opened a new one so I can close my old one that is linked with payments for the below Pay Day loans. Poeple on this site mention "Illegal Pay Day loan companies" What makes them illegal and what does this mean for me? What are my rights? Again, thank you for ANY help, advice, suggestions, whatever you can provide to help me get out from under this. If I still had my job, I wouldn't be doing this...

Speedy Cash (speedycash.com)
Ameriloan (ameriloan.com)
PayDay Max (paydaymax.com)
High Country Ventures- (Through Impact Solutions Online) (impactsolutiononline.com)
PayDay One (PayDayOne.com)

Read the sticky about dealing with illegal pdl. It means they are not licensed to lend. I'm not sure about the others but PayDayMAx is illegal they are not licensed and are not even in this country. They operate under the laws of Grenada.

Oh just saw PayDayOne they are legal and you can contact them thru thier website and make alternate payment arrangements.

First of all, please list the following information so we can help you.
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.
