Hi

I have alot of payday loans quite a few on line and I will try to take care of them the way that you suggested. My questions are as follows:

How do you find out if they are legal in your state or not? I am in Texas.

Also, I have some loans through store fronts that require you to give them a check from your account. I am late on my payments from this last week. If they try to run those checks through my accounts they will be returned. Can they sue me for Hot Checks or theft by check?

I am drowning and don't know what to do. Please help.

thanks

Go to this link and it will take you to TX info on payday loans. www.paydayloaninfo.org/state-information/51
There's a licensee data base, complaint forms etc. You could close your checking account before those checks hit, you might have a charge from the store fronts. You will have to make payment arrangements with them.

I would close the account, call the storefronts and make arrangements, then send ACH revocation letters to the illegal lenders. You can follow the instructions under payday loans "dealing with illegal lenders". Any questions, give us a post....
