Has anyone ever dealt with Western Sky/Cash Call and getting them paid off? I took out a loan in December and starting making monthly payments of $295 in January. I had them switch my due date to the 15th of the month but with having to close out my bank account at the end of this week, they can't take the money on the 15th. They never send statements to show what the current balance is and how much is applied toward the principal. I need to contact them and let them know the account is closed, but I do want to know what my actual balance is and have the money deducted from a pre-paid debit card.I have recently read about the nightmare of doing business with them and want to know what options I have before contacting them. Please advise.

I took out a $2600 loan, of which only $2525 was sent to my bank because of the $75 processing fee that Western Sky takes off the top. To date I have paid back about $1500, so if they are an illegal lender it sounds like I only need to make arrangements to pay back the remaining $1100, so the prinicpal will be fully satisfied. Would I need to just call and email them to revoke my ACH authorization the same as I did with the PDLs and try to set up payment arrangements because the draft is set to hit my account at midnight tonight?

Cash Call has started with the phone calls and asking when I'll be making a payment. According to them I have a current balance over $3000, even though I have paid them over $1500 on a $2600 loan. I only plan to pay the principal amount of $2600, which means I have about $1100 left to pay. I told them I would call them next week with a prepaid card for the regular installment payment. Then she asked where the money was coming from for me to put on the card and I told her it was none of her business and they didn't ask me that before. She then said we had verified your employment information, etc. when we approved the loan, so we already had that info. Then she tried to trick me by saying "so you're going to reload the card when you get paid next week, right?" And I told her I never said that. I'm sure she just wanted to verify when my next paydate was because something tells me they may try to use that to contact my employer to garnish my wages. I don't know what all has to take place before someone can garnish your wages because I have never had that happen before. I'm not giving up any additional information to them. I will call them next week with the debit card info and only plan to make payments until the principal has bee satisfied. Then I'm sure I'll have to deal with them again because they will still say I have a huge balance left. Any advice?

Yes, send them an email to inform them that you are revoking ACH authorization as well as any wage assignment agreement you may have signed.

Give a copy of this to your bank and your employer.

"Garnishments" don't happen unless you're taken to court and they win a judgment against you. That won't happen unless they're completely insane and want to get arrested :)

You can also go on there website and log into your account and make payments yourself using your debit or creditcard so that can't access your bank account.
