Can anyone refer me to a payday loan consolidation company that works with you before your loans are in default? I have been told by several that they cannot help me because my loans are under $5,000.00. My debt is around $2500.00. I got involved in them when my husband lost his job due to being diagnosed with cancer. Now I want to get rid of them and it seems impossible since my income does not allow me to pay huge payments. Any help is appreciated

I have one that is internet for $600.00 plus interest at a place called CashNet USA. com, and the rest are from a store as follows: The Money Tree, Dollar Loan Center, Johnny G Loans, and Short Term Loans. I live in Las Vegas, NV. I need to get these consolidated because I still have to pay rent, utilities, car payment, insurance and food on my income alone. I sure could use some help. Thanks in advance

I have heard that a consolidation company called Langhorne will deal with payday loans. The charge 25 percent of what you owe. I don't no much about them but you can search them in the box above. CashNet is one of the few internet lenders thst is licensed everywhere they loan. Also find out if the storefronts are CFSA members. If they are they are supposed to work out a payment plan under the rules of the organization!

I live in Las Vegas, NV, and I borrowed $600.00 on the internet for $600.00 and have paid them one payment of $112.50 as an extention and another for $112.50. They want me to pay $612.50 in full in two weeks. I have (4) loans at storefront. The Money Tree is $200.00 and I have paid them $150.00 and they tell me I still owe $185.00 how can that be?? Then I just took one out at The Money Tree for $390.00 and they want it all paid back in full in two weeks. Then there is a place called Johnny G Loans for $200.00 that they want paid back by Feb8th in full plus $36.00. That's all. Can I put these in consoliation and pay just one bill? MY husband is sick and I am paying bills by myself and taking care of him as well as two teenagers still living at home. It would just make it easier, and I haven't defaulted on any loans YET, but I feel it coming because their all due at the same time. Thanks for any help

List all your loans (borrowed and paid) the names of the companies, your state and whether they are storefront or internet and someone will help you with all of this. You are NOT the only one... read through these forums and you will see that MANY of us have struggled through the same vicious cycle as you!

Sometimes......you just need a 'fresh start'. What I did was 'stopped payment' on every PDL I had (and I had ALOT of them!!) and changed my bank account. Just to 'climb out of it'. I found out later that MOST of the PDL's, I was dealing with, were illegal. However.....it depends on YOUR situation. What and how you can handle them.

Start a new topic with the following info:
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.

The folks here are very helpful, and can offer all kinds of help. I was uninformed when I tried to deal with this myself and consolidated with two different companies. Langhorne was mentioned above and I just want to say they have treated me well and we are almost through with my program. They will deal with the calls that come after your loans are in default. You might still receive some calls at home and work but you can refer the callers to your "team" and also let your contact with Langhorne know about the calls too. If you want any more info on them just let me know. They do charge a fee, but if you want some assistance it is nice to know you have someone to lean on.
