I had a $200 loan that I defaulted on, they already had taken $60 out of my account previously. I contacted them and explained the laws and how illegal they are to lend in my state. The guy placed me on hold to talk to his manager and he gets back on the line and says "ok, we'll settle for $140 and close the account". Beautiful!!!!!
So, if you call any of these pdl's that you may owe and explain the laws and the fact that they have to abide by them, they WILL COMPLY. Now, I don't know if this applies to all pdl's, but the illegal ones you can get them to abide by the law if you call them and explain how illegal they are, they will settle with you for the principal. DO NOT LET THEM MUSCLE YOU WHEN YOU TALK TO THEM. They will try, but stand firm and you will get what you want. Good luck guys, I wish you all the best....
