Can illegal payday loans report to the credit bureaus? Two illegal pdls are reported in my Experian. Should I dispute it with the CB or deal with the lenders? Experian hasn't been much cooperative in the past regarding removing disputed entries from the report. :(

What do I do? It's hurting my score.

Send copies of your state payday lender law with a letter stating you want these reports removed on the grounds the original lenders were extending loans to your state residents without a license, making the loan illegal to begin with. Hopefully you have already filed complaints with the FTC, BBB and your AG, I would also mention the complaints. I am assuming the CA's attempting to collect on these illegal loans have been informed by you they are attempting to collect on a bogus debt. Provide as much information (state the facts) to the CRA's and request it be removed. Your really need to provide a lot of information to these CRA's in order to get them to delete the negative marks.

Thanks for the advice, SHAZZERS. With the 'CashCall' one.....I know Cash Call isn't a PDL, however,..I have a CA trying to collect on it. (I think?) the SOL is up soon, on that one. Another question for you: Is Think Cash (Bank of Delaware) an installment loan? They SAY they are, but, their fees are like many PDL fees. How do I deal wit them?

Yes, unfortunately they are an installment loan lender and very difficult to deal with. Have you defaulted on this loan?

Hi, SHAZZERS. Yes....I have 'defaulted' on a Think Cash loan (as I said , it's was being debited as the name First Bank of Delaware). I just can't afford almost $90.00 coming out of my checks, every two weeks. I've called them several times. ..they either transfer me to ANOTHER Rep, say there is "nothing they can do", etc. They won't even listen. GOSH..I have a headache from trying to deal with them.
