Hi there,

I agreed to have Oakview law group consolidate my payday loans, Here they are VIP, Advance me today, Zest Cash and Speedy Cash, If these are illegal loans and Oakview law group accepted to consolidate these loans am I being ripped off through them. I am very confused with this company.. Why did they agree to take this PDL if they are illegal? What would the outcome be if I stay with them. Someone said you can't consolidate illegal PDL. If they are illegal why are they taking them. Please help me, confused in Wisconsin. Thanks

I am Nick Denton, one of the senior managers in Oak View Law Group. I think you have enrolled in a debt settlement program with us. We are working with online payday loans and we had done settlements with these payday loan companies that you have mentioned. Among these creditors, VIP loan Shop, Zest Cash (Spotloan), and Advance Me Today are not licensed in WI, but Speedy cash is a legal payday loan lender in WI.

As per our experience, Speedy Cash Settles at a very high percentage or sometimes they only do a payment plan. For the illegal / unlicensed payday loans, we advise our clients to pay the principal amount, as a client is obligated to pay the principal amount borrowed. We always try to settle these loans at a lowest percentage so that a client can pay off the debts easily and insist these creditors to close the files as paid in full.

Call Speedy Cash and ask for the EPP. They should break your outstanding balance down into 3-5 even installments which you would find easier to repay.

As for the illegal lenders, you pay them on your own time and your own terms. No point consolidating them. Even if you are quite some way away from repaying the principal, it will not matter. The ball is in your court and you now choose how to pay and when to pay.
