Thank you for your prompt reply to my inquiry. I took 2 loans with Impact, totaling $650. I paid $2035 dollars. By New York State law, I overpaid on my account with Impact by $1,385 and I am entitled to a refund back. I can provide information based on my bank account for the amount of my loans versus the amount debited from my account. All I was obliged to pay was the principal loan according to New York Law, none of the refinance fees were legal and I will pursue action if not granted a refund.
Who would I need to speak to in regards to refunding my money?

Nail Impact Cash by contacting DFI and AG
You need to contact your state DFI or AG for further help to nail Impact Cash. You can also draft a letter stating the amounts paid and the total refund you are entitled to sending it to the PDL company directly. *FYI* PDLs are ILLEGAL in NY period! Best of luck :)

Impact Cash illegal
I really owe it to everyone on this board. I had NO idea that these were illegal or what actions to take until I came here. I cannot begin to tell you all how appreciative I am of all the help I found here. If you were all New Yorkers I'd take you guys out for a drink as a thank you !!!!

Dishonest Impact Cash?
I am in no way affiliated with this impact cash company, I just happened across your forum. I understand the fact that they are obviously charging you guys a ton of interest, but didn't you agree to the loan. Seriously, who is being dishonest here, you took a loan, and didn't expect to pay interest? Get another job and make some extra money if you are in so much need of an additional what is it $200 bucks? Seriously, who are the thieves here?

How to deal with Impact Cash like companies?
CLICK HERE to locate MN laws. Looks to me like only one of yours is a legal lender and that would be CashNetUSA, you will need to make some type pf payment arrangements with them or they will sue you. How much have you borrowed and paid back to the others? I can give you advice on how to handle illegal lenders but there is really only one way to stop them from debiting your account, and that is to close out your account. Sorry.

Impact Cash and Cash Central
Oh wait, I could be wrong about Cash Central, anyone else know anything about them?

Right now I have about $6000 outstanding. I was able to secure a loan through a very generous family member. I do agree that I did get loans and owe them at least the principle, but what can I do to get back the fees they charged me?

Cash Central appears to be legit. They actually allow you to view their state licenses on their website along with the license numbers and contact information of most states if there's any problems or concerns. You can check this out at their website. Just be sure to ask about the payment regulations of your particular state. For example, in Maryland and Texas, you can ONLY either pay the refinancing fee OR the entire balance plus the loan fee. You can't pay down on the principal. They will only allow you to refinance up to 4 times, then the entire principal, plus the fee is due. If you can, try to pay the entire balance as soon as possible. In most of the other states however, you CAN pay down the principal. Just check the regulations for your state by clicking on the map provided on their website before applying. Other than that, my experience with them has been excellent, and I'm from Maryland.

that is because they are registered as a CSO.they wouldn't be able to do pdl's in MD as pdl's are prohibited.nice try though.
