i live in indiana a took out a payday loan online. i fell on hard times,i.e, permantly disabled. yesterday, almost 2 years after loan i recieed a call from a collection co. for this loan threatening to file 3 different types of fraud charges. is this legal in indiana?

My opinion, the original PDL has sent your defaulted PDL to a collection agency. Since most of the collectors that work for the collections agencies are paid by commission they will use any and all means to collect on the debt. Scare tactics are their favorite. As SC stated it is not fraud to default on debt. You stated that you were permantly disabled, so I assume you are on social security disability??? If they do file suit and are granted a judgement they can not garnish a social security disability check.
