It???s totally a scam. They are trying to scare you. Don???t share any personal information with them. File a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.
They technically did not break the law by not providing the info
They technically did not break the law by not providing the information (the address) that you had asked for. They did break the law by calling you after you had explicitly forbade them to but the problem is that there is no proof of them doing so.
Here is the only known address: PO Box 2, Aurora IL, 60507
Other than that, file a complaint with the AG and the FTC against PDL Recovery Group. They are bottomfeeders and known collaborators with illegal payday lenders.
Verbal cease and desist letters are not law binding. They are us
Verbal cease and desist letters are not law binding. They are useless. Are you sure you don't owe anything? Have you checked your credit report? Have you checked your bank account? Are you certain that they haven't deposited an amount into your account?
a couple of points here
if the bottomfeeder(and this is a bottomfeeder)did leave those messages i'm guessing those voicemails, and other calls are being taken at the OP'S workplace meaning a verbal cease and desist must be honored.also the messages are as others have stated bs over the top scare tactics.the message about"wage assesment is laughable, and the one about the court order is illegal as there is no court order.stating that when it didn't happen is illegal.the OP should file AG complaints using the name pdl recovery group, and any numbers they have.then when they call again just hang up without a word.last thing to the poster above me.the OP could have applied for a pdl,or been given as a reference.bottomfeeding scams can get base info easily.

No I dont even know who they are, I dont owe them anything. I filed all the complaints. After some company, told them were going to pick me up from house and take me jail about 3 years ago and I believed them and missed work. I said I would never let scam people do this to me again. Anytime a company calls me like this. I file the complaints.
