I sent a letter to Instant Cash stating they are illegal in my state (Illinois) and have closed my bank account. The loan amount was for $300 and I have paid them $440. They sent me a few emails and left several messages on my cell phone. When I checked my account status last week it said "Deny New". On Monday it said "collections" and today it says "CKA". I'm not sure what that means. Since they are illegal in my state can they still persue collections? Do I just ingore them?

Well I guess, ''Deny New'' means they will not lend you again. If a payday lender is not authorized or illegal in a state, then you just owe them the principal amount, whereas you have already paid them extra.

Hope the following discussion regarding illegal payday lenders will help you to deal with them better
